That's What Friends Are For

To all of my readers:

Yes, I know that this blog is supposed to be dedicated to showcasing my experiences as a blind woman. However, there are a few times that I drive down a different road. Today, I'm going to use my blog to recommend that you guys check out the wonderful, the fantastic, the soulful, the talented, jazz bassist, Joseph Toliver. He's one of my best friends!!!!!! His project is being sold on Amazon and Itunes for digital download. Do yourself a favor and add Joseph Toliver to your music library. I wouldn't ask you to do anything I haven't already done. I bought the project today!!!!

The Reason Why I Blog

NuVision for a NuDay gives me the opportunity to share with others what I experience as I travel through this life as a blind woman. I realize that most people have never even had one conversation with someone that's blind. So, this blog gives me the opportunity to shed light on a world that most sighted individuals are blind to ever having the opportunity to see. Therefore, I continue to blog about my experiences as a blind woman so that I can be a light in a dark place. As long as I feel that check in my spirit, I will continue to shine a spotlight in the world of a woman whose lights have been unplugged indefinitely, with the hope that someone will be more inclined to understand the world of a blind person. Perhaps my blog will decrease discrimination, increase respect, and shatter stereotypes. (I hope I'm not just a dreamer.)
