"Beautiful Blind Women"

Every week, I check the stats on my blog. I'm always amazed with what queries lead people to my very unique blog. Here's what comes up the most.

"What is it like to be blind?"
"To be blind"
"I hate being blind."

But the one that always catches my attention is this... "beautiful blind woman"

And that query is entered pretty often. Folks from all over the world are using that phrase to search on Google and Yahoo. And most of the time, Google and Yahoo lead those people straight to my blog.

I know why Google and Yahoo grab my blog to appear in the search string. In the description of my blog, I mention blind and beautiful in the same sentence. Yes, I think I'm beautiful! **healthy self esteem**

But here's what I wonder... Who's looking for beautiful, blind women? And why are they looking for them? And the better question is... When they find my blog, do they think they have found a beautiful blind woman? LOL

Just wonddering out loud on my blog... I need to go to bed! It's 4:20 AM.

If the people that come to your blog, and they read about you and what you say, not withstanding looking at your pix, would know they have reached a beautiful, blind (in sight only, you do have excelletn vision), Black woman.

I will tell you why I was redirected here and what I did next.

I had written a short story long back (November 2003) in my school days. However, I posted it online today.

If you read the story, you will know why I was searching for "Beutiful Young Woman" ... http://www.shamasis.net/2003/11/the-challenge-of-solitude/

Sorry, last comment I missed the link: http://www.shamasis.net/2003/11/the-challenge-of-solitude/

PS: The story is highly amateur and was during my early school days! So, don't judge my by that. :)

I came to your blog because I put the words "beautiful" and "blind" into a search engine. What I wanted to find out is: what's beautiful to a blind person? I didn't know what other search words to use.
I'm asking because of a school assignment for a class on typography. The assignment is to look up a type designer and, using one of the fonts he or she designed, make up a design. Among the listings for French type designers is Louis Braille. I can't read Braille, don't know any blind people, but the more I read, the more I wanted to focus on Louis Braille as a type designer.
So, I was wondering how variations to the Braille font might get made, since it is by definition funcional. In other words, what's beautiful to blind people when it comes to varying -- or maybe not varying -- Braille's typography? Print typography has zillions of fonts. Braille has one or two. Your thoughts?
