I'm Taking Questions

Since I've been writing on this particular platform, I've addressed all sorts of issues as it relates to my experiences as a blind woman. But pretty much, I've dealt with subjects and experiences that are important to me.

I would like to spend the month of June discussing what it is that you want to know about me, my blindness, my experiences, and whatever it is you want to know. If it is within reason, I'm completely open to answering your questions. I'm a pretty open gal when it comes to sharing and providing views into my little world.

So, ask away. I'm looking forward to getting your questions. Leave them in the comment section or e-mail me at angie.braden@gmail.com.

Don't be shy. And don't think you will offend me. And there are no stupid questions... Only stupid assumptions... Be guilty of asking, not assuming...

Every Monday, I will answer questions that have come in. So, if you want me to deal with a question for today's entry, ask before 8:00 Central.

Peace and love,
Angie B.

Do you ever want to get married? Have you ever been in a serious relationship that could have possibly lead to marriage? Do you want to have kids?

Renea: I figured that someone, somewhere would ask me those questions. And yes, I will answer those questions for you. Give me a day or two.
How are you? How's school going?
E-mail me at angie.braden@gmail.com. Actually, I'll e-mail you this weekend.
Peace and love,
Angie

Angie, I have one question: Is your blindness congenital or the result of an accident?

Actually, two questions: If not congenital, how long have you been blind?

At Angie: "I haven't seen any pictures of myself since I was 14. I'm sure I've changed since then."

Actually Angie, I have the answer to my questions. I'm afraid that I didn't read your profile very closely.

Does the picture capture your essence?

I'd have to say that it does. I can see the beauty, perfection, and goodness of God shining through you.

Trust me, this is not an attempt to flatter, but represents what I see in your photograph.

Now, don't tell me that it's not a picture of you. *Smile*

TFD: Yes, it's a picture of me. LOL!
Thank you for your kind words.
I worry about how I look for a few reasons. But I plan to deal with that in a post in the coming weeks. I don't know... I guess I'm like any other person, mostly women, who are concerned about how they are presenting themselves. But the only thing is that I have to take the word of others. Sometimes, other folks words can't be trusted.
In the recent weeks, I've been trying to further embrace me, every part of me, even the broken parts, which sometimes includes the parts that I cannot see. That's the only way I can continue my healing process. That's why I posted the picture. I posted the picture to say to the whole universe, "Here I am. And I'm not apologizing for it."

Yes, the questions that you asked about the cause and onset of blindness have already been answered.in previous posts. But just in case you didn't get all of what you wanted to know, I will post the links for you and whoever else.

Blessings,
Angie

Good for you. There's nothing to apologize for.

Lincoln reputedly said once in effect: "After a certain age, we're all responsible for how we look."

I agree. What goes on inside paints a wonderful picture, or an ugly picture, on the canvas of our face.

You have painted a "wonderful picture" on your canvas.
